Head of Backend and Technical Lead

Backend developer and technical lead with more than seven years of experience building web systems, mostly in PHP and Laravel. At Idealween I own the architecture of two production platforms, Isopoll and Iransampler, and lead the team that builds them. Beyond the backend, I also build admin panels, web interfaces, deployment setups and AI features.

What I do

Core skill

Backend development and architecture

I design and build the server side of platforms, web applications and APIs: system architecture, authentication, payments, data and business rules. My main toolset is PHP and Laravel, backed by Redis, queues and both relational and document databases.

APIs and integrations

REST and GraphQL APIs, and integrations with Twilio, Bandwidth, PayPal, FedEx and UPS.

Databases and performance

Schema design, query tuning and caching on MySQL, MongoDB and Redis. Faster pages and endpoints, including for users on weak connections (Maksab).

Queues and scheduled jobs

Heavy work, such as bulk SMS, runs in the background so the user never waits on it.

Admin panels and web apps

Dashboards and internal tools in Vue.js, Livewire and FilamentPHP, built on top of the same backend.

Websites and online shops

Corporate websites and online shops in Laravel and Livewire, plus work on WordPress and WooCommerce plugins.

AI features

OpenAI API and LLM features inside real products, such as AI-assisted survey creation in Isopoll.

Servers and deployment

Docker, Nginx and CI/CD: the path code takes from a repository to a running server.

Technical leadership

I set technical direction, interview and hire engineers, and review how the team writes code.

Experience

  1. 2025 – Present

    Head of Backend (Senior Laravel Developer)

    Idealween Tech

    • Own the backend architecture of Isopoll, a market-research platform with AI features, and Iransampler, which has 98,700+ customers and 827,000+ completed surveys.
    • Lead the backend team: technical interviews, hiring and coding standards.
    • Decide on service boundaries, database design and the CI/CD setup.
    • Isopoll covers AI-assisted survey creation, job matching for professionals, tender management and a questionnaire builder.
  2. 2023 – 2025

    Technical Lead, Backend Development

    Gandom

    • Led the technical side of projects for Canadian clients: analysis, requirements and progress tracking.
    • Built an SMS panel with bulk sending and automation, integrated with Twilio and Bandwidth. It reached 500,000 messages in under two minutes, up from a baseline of 100,000 a day.
    • Wrote the queue and scheduling layer for time-sensitive jobs and built VoIP features on GraphQL.
    • Integrated the PayPal, FedEx and UPS APIs into client platforms.
  3. 2022 – 2023

    Backend Developer, Laravel and Vue.js

    Maksab

    • Built Laravel backends and Vue.js admin panels for marketplaces serving the Palestinian market.
    • Designed REST APIs and added caching that improved load times for users on poor connections.
  4. 2021 – 2022

    PHP Developer, Financial Plugins

    Sepidar System

    • Continued the development of a plugin that syncs WooCommerce store data with Sepidar accounting software, handling a high volume of transactions in real time. I also handled user support.
  5. 2019 – 2021

    Full-Stack Developer, Laravel and Livewire

    AGTeam

    • Built online shops, corporate websites and custom business systems with Laravel and Livewire. On several projects I did the backend and frontend alone.

  • Member of the university’s Growth program, where I developed its platform. I entered several startup competitions and won first place in one.
